My new best friend!
Yes my new rotary cutter! Woohoo!
The sewing machine has finally been out, and by out I mean out, out on a day trip!!
Couple of weeks a go I signed up for a short course in Patchwork and Quilting. It is very short only 4 days in total over the next few months and session 1 has been and gone but it was great fun.
My new best friend also accompanied me (and yes I was sucked in at John Lewis to buy a little container for her as well, we need to keep her looking good!)
It was all a bit different - I can sew but have never done any patchwork or quilting and I'm usually a scissor girl! But wow did I learn a lot!
The hardest thing for me was working in inches! I'm a metric centimeter girl but slowly got the swing of things. Plus I did not have a 1/4 inch foot on my machine (another investment I need to make).
So I learnt all the basics and lots of useful refresher information, and by the end of the day completed the following:
My sketch/note book - so I can keep a track and reminder of what I am doing!
Work in progress!
(Oops photos not in order!) My second completed block.
My first completed block!
Close up of centres - I'm really fussy making sure that they meet!
I now have the bug and want to make lots more blocks out of my own fabric, plus we have been set homework!!
The only problem - I have gone and caught the snotty nose cold bug and not feeling up to it at the moment! So off to get a lemsip!

A stack of inspiration
It's a lovely autumn day here in the UK today and after popping out and buying these little lovlies ~
I'm sorting through my ever growing stack of inspiration! Lots of lovely magazines, and new sketch books that are just waiting to be filled.
But there are a few magazines I would love to add to the pile!
If anyone knows where you can purchase these in the UK without having a subscription I would love to know! (If not then my wish list to Santa is growing bigger!)

Yay! You're back!
Phew! My followers are back!
Obviously a glitch in the system somewhere!?
Every now and again I have a play around with the layout and gadgets and even html!! I don't really know what I'm doing with html so never sure what changes I might have made.
No photos or other exciting news tonight - got home from work about an hour ago! Now I started work at 7.50am so its been a long one and I'm ready for bed!
See you all tomorrow!

Hellooooooo ??

I knew I couldn't keep away!
I had to set myself very little blogging this week as I'm really busy at work and lots of things to do when I get home!
But you know when you have lots to do, but somehow you manage to find other things that are just far more important (or distract you from the important things!!).
I know when its bad as I start re arranging furniture for no apparent reason!
So what better this evening than to spend far too many hours on the computer!!
Yep I've added another button to my blog!
A while ago I was asked whether I would like to take part in the following:
Now I am not a quilter, have never quilted, I've never been a rotary cutter girl as I was always taught to use scissors but what the heck I'll give it a go!!
I want to be a quilter!
So get ready to follow my progress through Bee Europa quilting bee. How exciting!
(And bet I'll be back tomorrow trying to avoid real work!)

Good things come to those who wait!
Or in my case.... yay, I've finally got round to sorting out the giveaway I wanted to do at the start of September and its already now the 14th!!!
Still busy back at work and still no camera since my beloved digital camera died!
I don't want to rush out and buy just anything but not got round to looking for a good camera with a good deal, so on a dark evening I managed to get fairly decent photos from my phone.
SO YES IT IS FINALLY HERE!! ITS GIVEAWAY TIME!!
I am offering one lovely reader all the goodies I have managed to squeeze into this little suitcase!
There is fabric, buttons, ribbons, scented thread, and a lovely bit of wool felt.
So to be in with a chance I'm mixing things up this giveaway and giving you the option of having more than one entry! Woohoo!
Each of the following will get you one entry into the draw:
1. Leave a comment - just say hi!
2. Become a follower of my little blog! Go on give it a try! (If you're a follower already you'll get automatic entry, as long as I can contact you!)
3. Share the love and hopefully my blog button and add a link to your blog! (Only thing you will need to let me know if you have done this - not sure how else I can check!)
So if all that makes sense, come say hi! Entry is open to international readers and I will pick a winner next Monday! Please make sure that there is some way I can contact you! I get lots of lovely emails but sometimes there is no reply address.

Stationery love
Apologies - it's been nearly a week since my last post! Slacking now I'm back at work! I will get round to doing the giveaway by the end of the week!!
In the mean time loving a new stationery or Sushi-nery set I could not resist for 50p at the Charity shop! Brand new, cute fun designs! Think it might be used more as design paper rather than writing paper as writing letters seems to be a lost art!

**YAWN**
That's what the first day back at work does to me!
I can't even think of a title for this post - how bad is that!
Only bit of news for this post today is that very late last night not being able to sleep I did update my blog list! Yep that's it keep scrolling down and you'll find it! All those lovely blogs and people, go and visit!
Plus if you're not on the list you can't come in!
Only joking - if you're not on the list I've not come across your blog so please come and say hello!

Its arrived!
No not a shiny new sewing machine, or a lovely stash of fabric or even a winning lottery ticket! But the end of the Summer holidays, which means I have to go and do something called "work"!
I was going to organise a giveaway today, I've got all the goodies ready but have not got round to sorting it all out and taking nice photos. So that will be put on hold until the end of the week. I PROMISE!
In preparation for back to school even us teachers need to get some nice back to school goodies and being a bit of a stationary addict these managed to come home with me from the shops somehow?!
Lots of new folders and yes more sticky notes!
This filing box was only £3 - love it!
I hope to post tomorrow, depends on how high the stress levels get!
